Bring on the spring — and all the fun-colored accessories!
The drab days of winter are almost behind us and A-list celebs have already tweaked their wardrobes to prove it. As always, pastels like light pinks, yellows, greens, and blues are a driving color trend for the season’s change, but this time around yellow seems to be the dominate hue. See how the vibrant shade was accessorized three different ways on Amal Alamuddin, Taylor Swift, and Kerry Washington just this past weekend.
Mrs. Clooney set off the trend for a date night with her husband George Clooney in New York City on Saturday, March 7. The well-dressed British barrister, 37, sported a bright yellow Paul & Joe wool statement coat over her black Giambattista Valli dress. She lengthened her lean legs with black lace-up heels and carried a black clutch.
On the same day (different coast), Swift went out for lunch in Los Angeles with a yellow leather handbag. The “Blank Space” singer, 25, paired her eye-catching accessory with a black and red striped top, a Brandy Melville skirt, and lace-up leather booties. She added her signature pop of red lipstick to complete the look.
Washington hit the red carpet at the PaleyFest on Sunday, March 8, in Hollywood wearing a black Mary Katrantzou dress that featured a yellow printed bodice. The Scandal actress, 38, channeled the trend with yellow Christian Louboutin “Pigalles” pointy-toe heels.
