Still just as handsome as ever! Wentworth Miller was a welcome sight at a screening of his new movie, The Loft, on Jan. 27 — his first film premiere in more than four years.
Dressed casually in a gray shirt, green jacket, and dark jeans, the 42-year-old Prison Break alum posed with costars including Eric Stonestreet, Isabel Lucas, and James Marsden. The screening was held at the Directors Guild of America in L.A.
Miller has been scarce on the red carpet since the end of his Fox show in 2009. He suited up for an appearance at The Trevor Project's TrevorLive event in L.A. last December, but his most recent film engagement prior to The Loft was in September 2010, when he attended the world premiere of Resident Evil: Afterlife in Tokyo, Japan.
Since then, the hunky actor has been laying low — although he did resurface in the news in August 2013, when he came out as gay in a letter to the organizers of the St. Petersburg International Film Festival, telling them he could not "in good conscience" attend an event in a country where anti-LGBT legislation denied people "their basic right to live and love openly."
Career-wise, Miller has devoted much of his time to writing. He penned 2013's Stoker, which starred Nicole Kidman and Mia Wasikowska, and the upcoming film The Disappointments Room, starring Kate Beckinsale and Lucas Till.
Recently, he made his return to television as Captain Cold on The CW's The Flash. "I'd been writing for a few years and it was a lonely experience," Miller told The Hollywood Reporter last October. "Initially I enjoyed sitting at my desk and setting my own hours…But I started missing the community and the connection you find on set."
He continued: "The cast and crew of The Flash bust hump every week putting together something great. And that creates this really tight, close-knit dynamic. A certain electricity. And I was looking for some of that in my life again."
