The Oscars may focus on film stars, but the 2015 Vanity Fair afterparty on Sunday, Feb. 22, was all about the pop divas. Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, and Beyonce all attended the soiree and turned heads in their sexy ensembles.
The “Beautiful” singer, 34, who gave birth to daughter Summer Rain in August, strutted the carpet, looking slim in a long-sleeve Marc Bouwer gown with fiancé Matt Rutler by her side. She Instagrammed a shot from the event, writing, “Steppin out with my baby!”
An eyewitness tells Us Weekly that Aguilera and Rutler held hands as they mingled at the party around 11:45 p.m. The Voice coach even greeted American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
Nearly an hour later, Beyonce and Jay Z arrived with the Grammy winning songstress, 33, in an all-white Stella McCartney gown and a bold Lorraine Schwartz necklace.
”Everybody went nuts, you’re not supposed to take pics of celebs here but when they came everybody whipped out their phones,” the eyewitness told Us. The power couple sat with Kevin Hart and chatted with talk-show host Michael Strahan.
Oscar-winning stars Julianne Moore and Eddie Redmanye also attended, as did Miley Cyrus, Jane Fonda, Emma Stone, Olivia Munn, Jared Leto, Lupita Nyong’o, and more.
Around 1 a.m. they moved to sit near Oscars presenter Jennifer Lopez and the two pop divas cozied up to one another in a corner booth, posing for pictures.
“They were drinking champagne and whispering back and fourth to each other,” the insider told Us. Eventually the “Booty” singer, 45, slipped out, hugging Queen Bey goodbye while wearing a sparkly sheer Zuhair Murad Couture gown.
Comedian Hart replaced Lopez, and started joking with the “Flawless” singer.
“Whatever Kevin is saying is making Beyonce crack up,” the source revealed to Us. “She was laughing hysterically and held her hand on her stomach because she was laughing so hard.”
Around 2 a.m. Beyonce, Jay Z, and her sister Solange Knowles and her husband Alan Ferguson start to head out of the party, but stopped when they heard The Isley Brothers’ “Shout.”
“They all start dancing around in a tiny little dance circle the four of them and shimmy their way out,” the insider said of the famed family’s groovy exit.
