The world lost a legend on Thursday, Sept. 4. Comedian Joan Rivers passed away at the age of 81, her daughter confirmed in a statement to Us Weekly. "It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my mother, Joan Rivers," Melissa Rivers said in a statement. The Fashion Police host was first hospitalized after she stopped breathing during a throat procedure on Thursday, Aug. 28.
