The Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed to Us Weekly on Thursday that Richards was arrested after causing a ruckus inside the swanky Polo Lounge located inside the Beverly Hills Hotel, and subsequently involved in a drunken confrontation with police.

According to the BHPD, hotel security reported that "an intoxicated female," later determined as the RHOBH star, was asked to leave the premises. Prior to being escorted off the property, Kyle Richards' sister asked to use the restroom, where she remained and refused to leave until police arrived.

"Ms. Richards was displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest."

The reality star was released at 10:36 a.m., about nine hours after police first responded to the Beverly Hills Hotel. She was charged with Public Intoxication, Trespassing, Resisting an Officer and Battery on a police officer, and is set to appear in court on June 11.

Richards has yet to comment on the incident. However, her fellow RHOBH stars reacted to the news of her arrest on Thursday afternoon.

"Wanted to say thank you to @KimRichards11 for donating to our school auction in the middle of all she has going on! so proud of her."
