It'll be a solo trip! Prince William will visit Japan and China in early 2015, Kensington Palace has confirmed. The Duke of Cambridge will spend approximately three days in each country from late February to early March. Pregnant Kate Middleton, however, will be staying back in the UK with the couple's son, Prince George. She's due with the couple's second child in April.
While in Tokyo, Prince William will discuss UK-Japan relations, commerce, and cultural exchange. He will also be supporting the combating of illegal wildlife trade.
In China, the royal will have the honors in opening the GREAT Festival of Creativity at Shanghai's Long Museum on March 2. The campaign helps "to give over 500 of Britain's most innovative businesses the opportunity to reach potential Chinese partners and demonstrate how British creativity can help businesses innovate and grow," his office said in a statement.
Before traveling overseas, Prince William will first visit the U.S. for three days in December — this time, with the Duchess of Cambridge. According to the royal family's official website, U.S. reporters are asked to not wear sweatpants or sneakers while covering the NYC royal events.

"Smart attire for men includes the wearing of a jacket and tie, and for women a trouser or skirt suit," the site reads. "Those wearing jeans or trainers will not be admitted and casually dressed members of the media will be turned away. This also applies to technicians."
