In a clip of the Jon and Kate Plus Eight series finale (airing Monday on TLC), Gosselin, 32, says that New York is "nice," even if it is a three-hour drive from his kids. The soon-to-be-divorced dad rents a deluxe two-bedroom apartment on Manhattan's Upper West for $5000 a month.
Presumably referring to his various media appearances filmed there, Gosselin says that the Big Apple is "like 'work.'...Although I live there, it's not like I'm at my house. Now it's like I have a place to go."

And, unlike many New Yorkers, Gosselin has a built-in escape route: the $1.1 million Gosselin abode in Pennsylvania, which he now calls his "country place."
"When I get sick of the city and all the press and the media, I cross the [George Washington Bridge], I go back to my country place and I can just chill."
He adds: "I've got the best of both worlds right now."

Monday's swan song for the reality show will also feature a sit down conversation between Jon and his estranged wife Kate, 34.
Mark Heller, Jon Gosselin's attorney, told the Associated Press Monday that the high-profile divorce could be finalized by the end of 2009.

"Although there were many emotional moments throughout the process, Jon impressively put the best interests of his children above all and was extremely appropriate in his approach to the mediation," Heller said following six hours of arbitration over the weekend. "As a result of that, it came to a successful resolution."

Looks like it is over for Jon Gosselin. He has made everyone sick of his whinning and complaing about his wife. You did as mush to her as she did to you. Get over it and get a job and support those kids that made you money. It's time some one beat the crap out of you for treating those kids the way you do. Dead=beat dad.

Give your kids to your ex for the visitation regardless ifhe is paying his share of child support or not. Live within your means. Have him pay his FAIR share of child support. Iwish that Jon would move out of NyC and live much closer to the kids.He's still not thinking clearly and he has to stay away from Hailey. OH, THE BUMS WE MARRY ! This guy plans to live in NYC with girlfriend, Haley. Then escape to his "country home" in PA when he gets tired or bored with the city ! BOY, I WISH I COULD DO THAT!...... He's not even thinking of getting a job. But every pot begins to empty, if we aren't working or doing something to keep it filled! I just wonder when this guy will find it necessary to get a JOB to take care of his family and "country home" in PA. Glad to see them go. They both lived off their children's existence and yet, still find ways to brag about how well they live to the rest of us poor slobs who must to work to take care of our families!
How long will this bum's money hold out to keep him in his NYC apt! The show has finally ended after about 3 months of repeated "Good-byes" from him and his one-time, Sgt Bilko wife. Now they want to appear as sweet and nice, after not speaking to many of their own relatives when they were living "high on the hog" so to speak !

yes the "successful resolution" was that kate gets primary custody. There was no way he was fighting her on that. He's too happy with his single life. What a disappointment he is. I know writing on this doesn't help but i hope that the press soon gets tired of him and doesn't give him the attention he wants.
