Lauren Conrad, nicknamed L.C., was born and raised in Laguna Beach, California. The oldest of three children, Conrad became a teen celebrity when her life was featured in the MTV reality show Laguna Beach: The Real O.C. Her interest in fashion was clear on Laguna Beach and a spin-off, The Hills, now entering its fourth season, was created to chronicle her internship at Teen Vogue and move to Los Angeles. Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have joined LC's list of frenemies after rumors that the couple leaked information about a potential sex tape of LC with former beau Jason Wahler.

Conrad’s love life was open to dissection by viewers of Laguna Beach and The Hills. First there was Stephen Coletti, and later, more seriously, Jason Wahler. When her relationship with Wahler ended, she briefly dated former Guess? model Brody Jenner, who was most famously linked to Nicole Richie.

Laguna Beach: The Real O.C followed Conrad and pals - including Kristin Cavallari – over the last year of high school in one of the wealthiest communities in the country. After two seasons of the wildly successful Laguna Beach, MTV gave Conrad her own reality show, The Hills, which followed her as she interned at Teen Vogue. The success of both programs made Conrad cover-girl material for Teen Vogue and Seventeen magazines. With intentions to pursue a career in fashion, Conrad, named a 2007 Us Hot Hollywood Player, unveiled her Lauren Conrad Collection nationwide in high-end boutiques. She recently debuted her new spring line at her first-ever fashion show during L.A Fashion Week.
