President Donald Trump criticized a journalist’s body for merely inquiring about his own health after he canceled two recent campaign rallies.

“So, you not going to Kansas has nothing to do with you being sick of traveling?” Reuters reporter Jacob Bogage asked Trump, 80, while speaking to the press outside Air Force One, referring to the president announcing that he would not be attending Saturday, October 31, rallies in Kansas and Iowa without explanation.

In response, Trump claimed that Bogage was “sick to ask that question” in the first place.

“You are a sick guy,” Trump shot back, asking Bogage where he worked. “Reuters is terrible, by the way.”

He subsequently asked other reporters to “look at this guy.”

“He’s way out of shape,” Trump criticized Bogage. “He comes to me, ‘Sir, you’re not going to go to Kansas.’ I’m not going to go to Kansas because it’s doing very well [before the November 3, midterm elections]. … You know the reason? I don’t feel I have to go to Kansas. I’m going to Florida tomorrow, and I’ll do [another] if something else comes up.”

He continued, speaking directly to Bogage, “You’ve been following me for two weeks. I feel perfect. You are disgusting, put yourself in shape. You look like hell.”

The official White House Rapid Response account reshared footage of the interaction with the caption, “@POTUS absolutely DESTROYS Fake News @jacobbogage.”

Bogage, for his part, shared a teaser from the interview to his X account, succinctly writing, “ 👀 President Trump speaks to the press before boarding Air Force One for a rally in Rock Hill, South Carolina, on Thursday.”

Trump has since rescheduled his planned appearances in Kansas and Iowa, respectively.

“President Trump loves his supporters, and in addition to nearly 20 tele-rallies, he will hold back-to-back rallies in Kansas and Iowa on Sunday,” a source told NBC News on Friday, October 30. “No one works harder, fights harder, or loves the American people more than President Donald J. Trump. The rallies were rearranged for scheduling purposes to accommodate nearly 20 additional tele-rallies that were recently added to the President’s schedule.”

Trump was sworn in for a second, non-consecutive term as the president of the United States in January 2025. While he is not on the November 3 ballot, Trump has been supporting a number of other races across the country.

“I will be doing a live radio interview for our GREAT Republican Senator, Roger Marshall of Kansas, with Pete Mundo, KCMO, at 7:30 AM. Roger LOVES KANSAS, as do I. Enjoy!!!” he wrote via his Truth Social platform on Friday.
