McDonald’s is going back to the ‘90s to celebrate McDelivery Day!
The annual holiday, which falls on Thursday, July 19, and begins at 11 a.m. local time, celebrates customers around the world who order Big Macs, chicken McNuggets and more via Uber Eats.
To participate, all customers have to do is download the McDonald’s app, which has some other awesome perks, find a participating restaurant, and add retro items to a $5 minimum order.
Now in its second year, 2018’s McDelivery Day is rewarding participants with free ’90s McDonald’s swag including t-shirts with the Golden Arches, French fry-printed bandanas, and Big Mac and fry-themed socks.
“We know how excited our customers were with the debut of our McDelivery Collection last year, so we’re bringing it back – but with a whole new twist! This year, we’re introducing the ‘90s Throwback Collection,” a McDonald’s spokesperson tells Us Weekly. “Inspired by the nostalgic fun of the ‘90s, these cool items turn the mundane into fun.”
And by the looks of it, the nostalgic collection already has some pretty high-profile fans. The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe took to Instagram to show off her ‘90s goodies on Tuesday, July 17, as did The Chainsmoker’s Alex Pall, who thanked the fast food chain for his denim jacket with French fry patches.
Even new mom Cardi B got in on the action, sharing a snap of the throwback t-shirts, a denim jacket and more. “This is lit,” the “Bodak Yellow” singer can be heard saying of the swag. Given her well-documented love of McDonald’s, Cardi B will probably be rocking her new threads in no time!
