Don’t get Us wrong: We’re total suckers for the perfect red carpet dress. But sometimes, as stars including Nina Dobrev and Jessica Chastain have proven lately, it’s all about the perfect pair of over-the-top statement shoes.
Just check out Dobrev’s posie-studded stunners! At the Veuve Clicquot Polo Match on Saturday, Oct. 17, in L.A., the Vampire Diaries alum teamed her blue Badgley Mischka dress with Stuart Weitzman sandals, complete with red, blue, yellow, and green flowers up the heel. (Go ahead and audibly swoon. We understand.)
But Dobrev’s just the latest star to step out sporting stunning stilettos — see more celeb statement shoes below!
While promoting Crimson Peak in NYC on Oct. 13, Chastain rocked not one, but two pairs of fierce heels. The redheaded beauty visited The View wearing a pair of ankle-strap sandals accented by beaded tassels, then later stepped out in emerald-green Paul Andrew heels with diamond details.
Sarah Hyland contrasted the steam of her crisp tuxedo (sans blouse!) with Nicholas Kirkwood’s ladylike lace heels in a houndstooth print at Cosmopolitan‘s 50th Birthday Party in West Hollywood on Oct. 12.
On Oct. 7, Kirsten Dunst premiered Fargo‘s second season in L.A. while stomping in Salvatore Ferragamo crocodile, python, and suede platform heels, adding even more sizzle to her leather Proenza Schouler separates.
Another win for Nicholas Kirkwood! Lucy Hale modeled the shoe designer’s modernized Mary Janes with pearl and stud accents around the ankle strap while promoting the upcoming season of Pretty Little Liars at PaleyFest on Oct. 11, in NYC.
And finally, subtly teaching a master class in “how to elevate your basics,” Sophia Bush wore a white tee and black skirt with tangerine and peach sandals by Nicholas Kirkwood at AOL BUILD Presents Chicago P.D. on Sept. 29, in NYC.
