Oh “Baby.” Justin Bieber took to Twitter to joke about flipping a chair in a French restaurant on Saturday, Nov. 7.
According to cell phone video obtained by TMZ, the pop star, 21, was eating lunch with a friend when suddenly he became visibly annoyed. He then stood up, flipped the chair, and walked out of the restaurant.
Shortly after, the “Sorry” singer took to Twitter to clarify what had happened.
“My buddy had just told me some bad personal news,” he wrote. “Just took pics with a buncha Beliebers. I must have been mad at them. Lol.”
Selena Gomez’s ex-boyfriend also poked fun at what happened, as he began retweeting fans’ tweets to the pop star joking about flipping chairs. Numerous fans joked that they would flip chairs over how excited they were about Bieber’s upcoming album, Purpose.
“I love you guys,” Biebs tweeted. “This is funny as hell.”
Earlier this week, the “What Do You Mean?” singer joked with fans at a show in Spain, instructing them to clap properly while he performed an acoustic version of his current hit single.
Purpose is set for release on Nov. 13.
