Major mermaid vibes! JoJo Fletcher dazzled during the rose ceremony on the July 18 episode of The Bachelorette wearing a bright blue, sparkly gown fit for a mythical sea siren.
Fletcher, 25, wowed the remaining bachelors in the Jay Godfrey Boswyck dress, which is currently sold out, but originally retailed for $690 on jaygodfrey.com. She paired the plunging trumpet-style gown with Cezua earrings and mixed metal rings. The real estate developer styled her tresses in loose waves, parted in the center and completed the entire look with rosy cheeks and a pinky-nude lip.
Ahead of the show, the ABC reality series’ longtime stylist, Cary Fetman, posted a subtle hint that things might not go smoothly for Fletcher. “Get ready @joelle_fletcher has a rough night. Here she is happy in a @jaygodfreynyc sequin mermaid dress,” Fetman captioned a smiley pic of Fletcher. “All her jewelry is from @cezua_jewelry gorgeous make-up @ginamo11 #bachelorette #thebachelorette @bacheloretteabc #bachelornation.”
The “rough” rose ceremony Fetman alluded to took place in an empty airplane hangar. Fletcher was meant to narrow her final four guys (Robby, Luke, Chase and Jordan) down to just three. But her decision was left on a cliffhanger, as she abruptly left the boys and started to sob.
Ahead of the ceremony, she was dead-set on sending Luke home, even after their intimate date in his hometown of Burnet, Texas. But his off-the-cuff declaration of love just before she handed out the show’s signature boutonnieres made Fletcher so unsure of her choice she had to have a moment alone.
She ended the episode crying on the ground in an empty parking lot. “I feel, like, out of control right now, like, I can’t even control my emotions,” she told the cameras. “Ugh!”
