Carrie Ann Inaba

Carrie Ann Inaba is a dancer, choreographer, television host and judge best known for her long tenure on Dancing With the Stars. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Inaba attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies. She also trained extensively in dance and martial arts from a young age.

Inaba began her career as a singer in Japan before appearing as a Fly Girl on In Living Color in the early 1990s. In 2005, she joined Dancing With the Stars as a judge, a role she held for over 15 seasons. She has also cohosted the show and later appeared as a recurring guest host on CBS Daytime’s The Talk.

In addition to television, Inaba has worked as a choreographer and producer for music videos, commercials and stage productions.

Inaba dated dancer Artem Chigvintsev from 2006 to 2009. She was briefly engaged to Jesse Sloan in 2011. She was later engaged to actor Rob Derringer in 2016 before calling off the engagement the following year.
