Compelling audiences for nearly three decades, James Woods began acting wen he dropped out of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1969.
Born in Utah in 1947, he headed to New York City and landed a role in 1979’s The Onion Field. After playing numerous parts, he starred in 1987’s Salvador and 1996’s Ghosts of Mississippi, both of which earned Academy Award nominations. He is known for his roles in 1995’s Casino and 1999’s The Virgin Suicides.
Woods dated actress Heather Graham and has been divorced twice.
