Priyanka Chopra

One of India’s highest paid and most popular celebrities, Priyanka Chopra is an actress, singer, film producer, philanthropist and the winner of the Miss World 2000 pageant. In 2016, Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Chopra grew up in Jamshedpur, India where she aspired to be an aeronautical engineer, however her success in pageantry landed her a Bollywood debut in The Hero (2003). She then went on to act in several other films before being cast in her breakout role as Sonia Roy in the 2004 thriller, Aitraaz. 

As an advocate for environmental sustainability and gender equality, Chopra is also continually passionate and involved in philanthropy. In both 2016 she was appointed the global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights.

Chopra broke into acting in America in 2015 after signing a deal with ABC Studios. She on their drama series Quantico during its three-season run from September 2015 to August 2018.

She started dating Nick Jonas in May 2018 and he proposed in July of that year. The pair tied the knot in a Western ceremony in Jodhpur, India, on December 1, 2018, and again in a Hindu ceremony the following day.

The couple announced the birth of their first child via surrogate in January 2022.
