She’ll always be the first lady of fitness! In an October 20, 2019, Instagram post, Obama shared a photo of herself doing a lunge while lifting a large medicine ball over her head. The image made apparent her love of fitness — and her rock-hard six-pack. “It doesn’t always feel good in the moment. But after the fact, I’m always glad I hit the gym,” the former FLOTUS wrote. “How did you all take care of yourself on this #SelfCareSunday? 💪🏾.”
She knows how to work it! In an Instagram video the Grand Hotel actress shared on October 7, 2019, she demonstrated that ladies don’t need to stay away from heavy weights. In the post, Longoria does bicep curls with a barbell stacked with pounds — and executes the move with impeccable form. “It’s Monday! Let’s go get it!” she wrote, adding, “Thank you @kellyrowland for the workout gear!!”
The Widow actress often posts videos of herself working out at the gym. But on October 6, 2019, she showed the rest of the world that they’re not getting all they can out of the stability ball! While most people use it to tone their abs or work on their upper body, Beckinsale does both with one simple (but challenging!) move. Starting in plank position with her feet on the ball, she rolls it inwards while lifting her butt in the air, then rolls it back and goes into a push-up.
On September 30, 2019, the L.A.’s Finest actress shared multiple videos of herself and her husband, Dwyane Wade, working out at the gym. The couple both did full-body workouts that included strength training and agility drills. “In this bitch together,” Union wrote, tagging the retired NBA star.
Leave it to the ever whimsical Spears to decorate her home gym! The “Toxic” singer posted a selfie in front of a treadmill on September 22, 2019. And while the snap showed off her cut abs and strong legs (as well as her new brunette ‘do!), even more notable were the purple fairy lights she’d strung around the room, which reflected in the mirrors. “My morning ritual at my mini gym !!!!” she wrote.
Bend it like (Victoria) Beckham! The fashion designer shared a gym mirror Instagram selfie on September 6, 2019, that showed her stretching out her hip flexor and ankle in a Reebok x Victoria Beckham sports bra and workout tights. “Who said I can’t do yoga,” the star wrote in the caption.
No easy feat! On August 19, 2019, the supermodel, 53, posted a video on Instagram of herself doing squats with her back against a stability ball while holding a weight over her head. “Back at it with @sarahperla1 💪🏼,” Crawford wrote, referring to her trainer, Sarah Hagaman.
On August 10, 2019, the comedian let her Instagram followers know she’s back to working out three months after welcoming her son, Gene, via cesarean section. “3 months after a C playing doubles volleyball for 90 minutes!” she captioned a photo of herself and her husband, Chris Fischer, in a gymnasium with sweaty faces. She also gave a shoutout to her trainer, AJ Fisher. “@ajcorectology thanks I feel so strong!” she wrote.
The Revenge Body With Khloé Kardashian host works out hard! On August 7, 2019, the reality star posted three time-lapse videos of her working out — in front of her Range Rover! — in her home garage gym. Kardashian did a variety of difficult strengthening moves with trainer Joël “Coach Joe” Bouraïma — including rope swings, free weights and squats mixed in with a session on her stair climber and a variety of core strengtheners — in what appeared to be a circuit-style workout. “Man, I am so sore!” she wrote. “I love this feeling though. Means I did a little somethin 💪🏽.”
A little surgery isn’t going to stop the Real Housewives of Orange County star from her fitness regimen! “Going light weight today (due to oral surgery),” Judge captioned a July 15, 2019, Instagram video of herself exercising at Cut Fitness. “But getting it done 💪🏼 key to success is being consistent. No excuses!”
In this case, two is definitely better than one! On July 9, 2019, Efron posted a photo of himself with his Baywatch costar Alexandra Daddario working out at the gym together, doing a buddy resistance band exercise. They weren’t sweating just for the heck of it: Daddario was a guest on an episode of Efron’s YouTube show, Gym Time!
She’s in her 60s and works out just as hard as anyone in Hollywood! On July 2, 2019, Griffith posted a video of her doing a series of incredibly challenging moves at the gym and gave a shout-out to her trainer, Gunnar Peterson, who also sculpts the bodies of Kate Beckinsale and Khloé Kardashian, among others. “Ok. I have been working out with Gunnar, ❤️, @gunnarfitness for 7 years. I ADORE THIS MAN!!,” she wrote. “He helps me keep my 50+11 year old body tight and strong. He is also kind of my therapist."
Everyone knows Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has an insane body. But the Fast and the Furious star brought awareness to new heights with the gym selfie he posted on June 23, 2019. In the photo, his shorts are pulled up over his thighs, revealing beyond-muscular legs. “And now I’m ready to waddle outta the gym cuz my legs are like f*cking jello,” the actor, who’s launching a new training sneaker with Under Armour, captioned the pic. “Happy Training.”
Who says comedy and fitness don’t go together! On June 12, 2019, Handler posted a hilarious video of her arms and legs workout with her trainer Ben Bruno. The comedian demonstrated doing alternating stationary lifted lunges while curling one of her dogs, Chow rescue Bernice. “When you’ve maxed out the dumbbells... #bernice preparing for my stand-up comedy tour. New cities added,” she captioned the post.
The Resident actress isn’t afraid of heavy weights! In a January 2019 Instagram, Dewan posted a photo of herself in the gym apparently about to do a squat with a barbell holding a whopping 90 pounds. “New year, new me.. the gym rat 😂,” wrote the Jenna Dewan x Danskin designer. “I like to switch it up,” the actress told Us of her fitness routine in May 2018. “In the gym, I’ll do heavier weights and fewer reps, which is about building muscle. Then I’ll go to a Pilates dance-based class that’s a lot of reps with lighter weights and lots of cardio and dancing.”
To prep for her role in the action-thriller The Meg, the 32-year-old actress executed physically intense drills. "Training for The MEG was so damn fun ... now ... a different type of training is about to start ... and I’m so ready," she captioned an August 2018 Instagram video where she leaps over a metal pole and is then pulled backward into the air by a harness wrapped around her body.
The 49-year-old Shades of Blue star works hard to keep her body in incredible shape. "Gettin’ it in today even though it’s blazing outside!!" the World of Dance judge captioned a July 2018 photo of herself in all-white workout gear while gripping a pull-down machine.
"Work with @nikoalgieri this morning IF YA INTERESTED," the 'Love Me Like You Do' singer captioned a July 2018 video compilation of her workout, including kettlebell lunges and squats plus TRX leg lifts with personal trainer Niko Algieri.
The Swimsuits for All designer is often seen at Dogpound, a boutique gym in New York City known for its unconventional workouts. Case in point: Graham, see here, lifted a barbell on the sidewalk outside of the studio in June 2018 as her trainer looked and checked her stellar form.
It seems as if the Peppermint star is always side-by-side with her trainer and Body By Simone founder Simone De La Rue. "If you can find a workout that makes you smile, DO IT!!! Watching the sun come up or dancing mid-day, I couldn't do better on this #nationalworkoutbuddyday than you, @bodybysimone," the Camping actress wrote with a March 2018 video on Instagram of the duo jumping on a trampoline, strength training and jumping rope. To drop 61 pounds just 10 months after welcoming her daughter Ines, the Shallows actress worked out at Drive Clubs gym in New York City alongside her longtime trainer Don Saladino. "Thanks @donsaladino for kickin my A double S into shape. 10 months to gain, 14 months to lose. Feeling very proud," she captioned a February 2018 post on Instagram.
