Carrie Underwood shared a sweet pic showing her working out with her husband and son, four months after breaking her wrist and injuring her face in a fall at home.
“My boys make work outs fun (and a bit less productive, but that’s ok!),” the American Idol alum, 34, captioned a pic that showed her doing a squat with her 2-year-old, Isaiah, who she shares with husband Mike Fisher.
A second pic showed the hockey star, 37, who recently announced he was coming out of retirement, doing a push-up with Isaiah.
As previously reported, Underwood broke her wrist and suffered other injuries after taking a hard fall on some steps outside her Nashville home in November.
She had surgery to put a pin in her wrist, joking that she would be setting off metal detectors at airports, and revealed in a Christmas update to fans that the accident was far worse than originally thought.
The “Jesus Take the Wheel” singer said that she’d had “between 40 and 50 stitches” to her face after the fall and “might look a bit different” now.
Fisher has been by his wife’s side as she recovered from her devastating injuries and a source told Us Weekly last month that she encouraged him to return to the Nashville Predators after just five months of retirement.
“She wants him to be happy and knew he should go for it,” the source told Us. “He asked for her blessing and totally got it. She’s behind him with whatever he chooses to do.”
As Us reported exclusively earlier this week, there is another project Underwood is working on as she prepares to return to the spotlight — having baby no. 2.
“Everyone around her knows she wants a big family, and they’re always trying for another baby,” the country superstar’s friend told Us.
