No time for the haters! Khloé Kardashian responded to Twitter users who accused her of “focusing too much” on her post-baby body as she returns to the gym a month after giving birth to her daughter, True.
“The beginning parts of working out kind of suck because you’re pushing your body so hard, you’re so tired. It’s much more difficult than you expect it to be,” the 33-year-old new mom began on Snapchat on Monday, May 21. “I’ve been working out for 11 days now, I feel really good, but tired. My body is sore because it’s re-waking itself back up.”
“What I’m annoyed about is I’ve read a couple of times on Twitter that they feel that I’m focusing too much on my body, but the truth is, I’ve worked out five or six days a week before I got pregnant and that’s my sanctuary and something I love to do,” Kardashian continued. “I want to start doing that now and get back to my rhythm and in between feedings I want to find time to work out because that’s going to be my new normal.”
She added: “Just because I have a baby, doesn’t mean I have to stop doing the things that I love, and I love working out and getting my mind right.”
Kardashian and her boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, welcomed their baby girl on April 12, just two days after the NBA star was caught being unfaithful with multiple women. Despite the scandal, the reality star has remained in Cleveland during the NBA playoffs and a source confirmed to Us Weekly on May 4 that they are “fully back together.”
After her message to fans, the Revenge Body host showed off the progress she has made since returning to the gym on May 8, by lifting her shirt up in front a mirror.
“Five weeks after baby, feeling good. Muscle memory is a real thing, It’s still under there!” Kardashian said. “I got to get rid of this part [her butt], this and my thighs. I just need everything to be solid.”
