Future family of five! Nev Schulman wants to have a third child with wife Laura Perlongo — and may not stop there.
“I just want another one for her to love and for us to giggle with,” the Dancing With the Stars season 29 contestant, 35, exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday, September 15, while promoting Dance Against Cancer. “The more, the merrier.”
The Catfish: The TV Show host went on to say that he and the Massachusetts native, 35, have “so much fun” with their daughter, Cleo, 3, and their son, Beau, 8 months.
“We have so much fun,” the producer added. “Honestly, I know every mom is the best mom in the world, but the greatest joy for me is watching Laura with our kids. She is so fantastic and they are so lucky that they get to spend time with her. They really are so happy and so loved.”
In January, the New York native exclusively told Us that he and Perlongo had a “plan” for baby No. 3.
“Nothing’s baking [but] I was one of two and [Perlongo] was one of three, and she loved having two siblings and still does,” Schulman explained at the time. “So I’m into three. I think that’s the number.”
The actor tries not to be “hard on” himself as a parent and reminds himself not to make comparisons with other dads, he told Us on Tuesday.
“Accept who you are, know that you’re a good guy and that you’re going to be a great dad and don’t put so much pressure on yourself,” Schulman explained of his mindset. “Just enjoy it. That would probably be what I actually actively try to tell myself.”
While Cleo has been homeschooling amid the coronavirus pandemic, the In Real Life author previously shared his tips for his daughter’s back-to-school nerves in September 2019.
“I had to come up with a way to calm her down so she would be comfortable going,” he exclusively told Us at the time. “In order to get her to take some deep breaths and relax, I hold up my fingers and I pretend like they’re birthday candles I tell her to blow them out, and every time she does one, I put one finger down. [After] four breaths, she usually sort of calms down and maybe I get a smile.”
He and Perlongo tied the knot in July 2017 in New York.
While competing on DWTS, Schulman is donating his earnings to Dance Against Cancer, an organization in partnership with The American Cancer Society that holds an annual benefit at the Lincoln Center, as well as the New York City Ballet Dancer Relief Fund and The National Dance Institute.
