Next steps! Tarek El Moussa exclusively opened up to Us Weekly about his and Heather Rae Young’s future family plans.
“Right now, it’s not something we’re looking to do,” the Flipping 101 With Tarek El Moussa star, 39, said on Monday, September 14, when asked about having a baby. “You know, I have two wonderful kids, and we’re just so busy.”
The California native, who shares a 9-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son with his ex-wife, Christina Anstead, added, “The careers are growing, and we really focus on Taylor and Brayden. So I couldn’t even imagine throwing a newborn into the mix right now.”
For now, Young is loving her stepmom role. “I love being a bonus mom, future stepmama!!” the Selling Sunset star, 32, captioned an August Instagram post. “Watching them grow up in front of my eyes. So loving and so curious about life. [Signed], Future Mrs. El Moussa.”
She and the Flip or Flop alum got engaged in July on their first anniversary. “She said yes!” the Flip Your Life author captioned his Instagram reveal.
Taylor and Brayden will be involved in their nuptials, El Moussa told Us on Monday, explaining, “Tay’s going to go up wedding dress shopping with Heather. She’s going to get a cute little bridesmaid dress, and it’s important for us to involve the kids in the wedding because we’re a family. Heather has really, really come into our lives and created a family for us. We just adore her.”
He and Anstead, 37, were married from 2009 to 2018. (The Christina on the Coast star has since moved on with Wheeler Dealers host Ant Anstead, welcoming son Hudson, now 12 months, in September 2019.) Since their split, the exes have been coparenting their little ones.
“It’s definitely gotten a lot easier,” Christina exclusively told Us in December 2019 of their dynamic. “The kids love seeing us sit together and that’s what’s important. I’m still really close with his family as well.”
