Party of nine! Taylor Hanson’s wife, Natalie Hanson, is pregnant with their seventh child, Us Weekly confirms.
“The best kind of unexpected,” the Hanson member, 37, captioned his Tuesday, September 15, Instagram announcement. “No. 7 coming this December #2020.”
The pregnant star added with a post of her own: “Biggest little surprise in a long time. Baby No. 7 coming this December.”
In the couple’s social media uploads, they held hands while walking through tall grass. Natalie wore an orange dress while cradling her baby bump in the maternity shots.
The pair tied the knot in 2002 in Georgia and are already the parents of Jordan, 17, Penelope, 15, River, 14, Viggo, 11, Wilhelmina, 7, and Claude, 20 months.
In November 2017, Taylor opened up to Today’s Parent about the “innate ability [for] compromise” that comes from a big family.
“[You] work with others and realize that the entire world doesn’t revolve around you,” the Tinted Windows singer explained at the time. “It also encourages you to be an individual because you can clearly see your differences from a brother or sister. I see that with my kids. They’re very different, but I see that they love and respect one another.”
The Oklahoma native’s little ones feel like they’re part of “a crew,” he added. “You’re already included in a group. I see that with my 5-year-old, who is the fifth child. You can see it in her sense of confidence: She is so comfortable being in situations because she sees a lot of love and feels safe. She kind of looks around at the world and feels optimistic. In so many situations, she has somebody beside her that she trusts. It gives you the sense that you have an identity that’s connected to something bigger.”
He and Natalie have enjoyed watching “dynamics change” and “different alliances form depending on the situation” the more they expand their family.
As for his brothers (and former bandmates), Zac Hanson has four children with wife Kathryn Tucker, while Isaac Hanson has three children with wife Nicole Dufresne.
