Ah, young love. Amy Schumer wished her boyfriend of one year, Ben Hanisch, a happy anniversary with a jokey post to Instagram on Saturday, November 19.
“A year ago today I met the love of my life,” the 35-year-old comedian captioned a close-up snapshot of Hanisch about to bite into a burger. “Happy anniversary f‑‑kface. #Iwanttoseeotherpeople.”
Hanisch took a more earnest approach in his note to Schumer, posting a black-and-white photo of the pair along with a sweet caption.
“A year ago I met the love of my life,” he wrote. “We both weren’t looking for a relationship at the time, but something felt right from the very first night we met. We ended up spending 6 days in a row together. This pic was taken in New Orleans and was the night I knew I wanted to spend my life with her.”
Schumer hasn’t been shy about her relationship with the furniture designer; the pair first went public with their relationship in early January, and they have made frequent appearances on each other’s social media channels since.
In August, the Trainwreck star sat down with SiriusXM’s Howard Stern to chat about their passionate relationship, and she spared no detail.
“We love having sex with each other, but there’s no performing,” she told the shock jock, adding that the couple have sex every day. “He’s so sweet. When it comes to sex, I lay there like I’m going to get a CT scan so I’m not pleasing anyone. You know when you start dating someone, you’re like, ‘I love giving head’? I don’t know what it is. I was just too busy. Too tired. No lies. Too busy.”
The outspoken actress later remembered that Hanisch’s Midwestern parents might be listening. “I hope his parents don’t listen to this, oh, my God,” she said. “His parents are the sweetest people. His mom always seems like she was just called down as a contestant on The Price Is Right.”
