Kourtney Kardashian broke her silence following her sister Kim Kardashian’s scary Paris robbery via Twitter on Wednesday, October 5.
The reality star, 37, posted a passage from her daily prayer book. “Remember that joy is not dependent on your circumstances. Some of the world’s most miserable people are those whose circumstances seem the most enviable,” the quote read. “People who reach the top of the ladder career-wise are often surprised to find emptiness awaiting them. True Joy is a by-product of living in My Presence. Therefore you can experience it in palaces, in prisons … anywhere.”
“Do not judge a day as devoid of Joy just because it contains difficulties,” the quote continued. “Instead, concentrate on staying in communication with Me. Many of the problems that clamor for your attention will resolve themselves. Other matters you must deal with, but I will help you with them. If you make problem-solving secondary to the goal of living close to Me, you can find joy even in your most difficult days.”

Kourtney was in the City of Light when the Selfish author, 35, was robbed at gunpoint at the Hôtel de Pourtalès around 2:25 a.m. on Monday. She, along with half sister Kendall Jenner, were with Kim’s bodyguard Pascal Duvier at a club at the time.
The 20-year-old model also returned to social media on Wednesday. “low key look,” Jenner captioned an Instagram photo of herself wearing a heart-shape fur coat.
All three sisters left on separate planes hours later. Kim reunited with Kanye West and their children — North, 3, and Saint, 10 months — at their downtown NYC apartment hours after the terrifying incident. Kourtney is back home in Calabasas, California.
As previously reported, Kim’s rep told Us Weekly that she was shaken by what happened, but was “physically unharmed.” Nevertheless, the famous family is now taking extra precaution and implementing new safety measures.
“This incident was a completely life-changing event for Kim,” an insider told Us on Wednesday. “She realizes she was living in a bubble doing what she was doing. She loved flaunting her wealth and being so public. She felt safe and never really thought about her vulnerability. Now she knows she was so naive. Everything has to change going forward.”
The five assailants, who stole more than $10 million of jewelry while pretending to be policemen, are still at large. The investigation is ongoing.
