Annemarie Wiley and Marcellus Wiley’s marriage is coming to an end in dramatic fashion.
Days after Marcellus, 51, was arrested on Saturday, July 4, for his alleged role in a reported altercation with his wife during a stay at a Marriott hotel in Florida, Annemarie took legal steps to end her 12-year marriage.
According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Annemarie, 42, filed for divorce from Marcellus in Los Angeles on Monday, July 6, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason behind their split.
The pair — who married in June 2014 and share three children together — have not publicly commented on their split. Instead, Annemarie appears to be sharing her side of the story in court documents. (Us has reached out to both Annemarie and Marcellus’ attorneys for comment.)

Annemarie and Marcellus Wiley’s 4th of July Weekend

In court documents obtained by Us, Annemarie claimed her estranged husband threatened her during a family trip to Florida.
“On July 4, 2026, Marcellus told me that he was going to start, in his words, ‘playing football, not basketball’ with me, and warned me to watch how bad he was going to make things for me, which I understood to be a threat that his abuse would become more severe,” she claimed. “On July 3, 2026, Marcellus yelled at me and forcefully jammed his finger into my face while I was laying in bed with our 7-year-old daughter. He told me that I cause him to treat me badly and that I bring it on myself.”
Marcellus was ultimately issued a no contact order on Sunday, July 5, prohibiting him from contacting Annemarie. The court has ordered the ex-football star to stay at least 500 feet away from his estranged wife, their marital residence and her place of employment.
Annemarie Wiley Accuses Marcellus Wiley of Raping Her
In her request for a domestic violence restraining order, Annemarie alleged that Marcellus “raped me while I was intoxicated” in 2012, adding, “During this same period, he threw a food tray at my head with such force that it dented the wall.”
On a separate occasion in January 2026, Annemarie claimed Marcellus “dragged me out of bed, berated me and hit me on the head. He then raped me, telling me that I was his property and that I had to do what he said. At approximately 3:00 a.m. that same night, Marcellus raped me again.”
Marcellus Wiley Allegedly Tracked Annemarie Wiley
At the beginning of 2026, Annemarie alleged in court documents that Marcellus “admitted to me that he had been tracking my phone calls.”
“He yelled at me for having spoken to an attorney and chased me up the stairs,” she claimed. “Marcellus would not let me leave the house and repeatedly blocked my exit.”
Marcellus Wiley’s Alleged ‘Financial Control’ Over Annemarie Wiley
In court documents obtained by Us, Annemarie claimed her estranged husband had “exercised financial control” over her.
“He borrowed approximately $100,000 from me and ran up approximately $100,000 in charges on my credit cards, and then stopped paying them, which ruined my credit,” she claimed. “He told me that this was my fault.”
Annemarie also alleged that Marcellus stopped paying for their children’s private school tuition in February 2026. As a result, Annemarie claimed she had to “empty our children’s savings accounts in order to pay it.”
“By ceasing to pay our children’s tuition earlier this year and forcing me to pay it, Marcellus has prevented me from using my own earnings to save money, to pay down the debt he accumulated on my credit cards or to repair the credit he damaged,” she claimed.
Annemarie Wiley Claims the Alleged Abuse Is Constant
“Marcellus subjects me to constant criticism, cruel and sarcastic remarks, and
Intimidation,” she claimed in the docs. “His verbal and emotional abuse is constant, and his physical abuse occurs approximately once a month, and at times more frequently.”
