Just like the movies! Kate Bosworth and Justin Long kept their romance under wraps after connecting on a 2021 film project — but fans were quick to notice their chemistry. The Blue Crush star and the He’s Just Not That Into You actor hit it off while working on an unnamed movie in spring of 2021. Ahead of their relationship, Bosworth penned a sweet Instagram tribute to Long, thanking him for all his hard work on set. “There are some movie experiences when you learn a lotttttt about another person. Well, we just wrapped one of those — all night shoots, working 6-day weeks,” the Superman Returns actress wrote via Instagram in May 2021. “The exhaustion & insanity was off the grid. Holy moly @justinlong you are a truly spectacular / fun / funny / kind / rare / thoughtful / totally. fckn. rad human being. 🌻.” Bosworth shared a series of photos with Long from Arkansas, including the pair posing alongside gnome murals in town. Things between the Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! star and Long seemingly became romantic after Bosworth announced in August 2021 that she and husband Michael Polish had called it quits. Bosworth and Long fueled speculation that they were in a relationship in fall 2021 after being spotted together on multiple occasions. The Art of More alum began “liking” a variety of snaps on the Lady of the Manor actor’s social media accounts, including a November 2021 photo of him making “the traditional Thanksgiving hummus.” [jwplayer XO3yBY92-zhNYySv2] Long also “liked” Bosworth’s Instagram posts and revealed in December 2021 that he was in a relationship with a mystery woman. In January 2022, Us Weekly confirmed that the stars had been an item for a “few months” after becoming friends on their movie. The 21 star and the F Is for Family alum are “not hiding the fact that they’re together,” a source exclusively told Us at the time, noting that the twosome are “just staying low-key and private about their relationship.” Later that month, Long seemingly confirmed his relationship with Bosworth while attending the Sundance Film Festival premiere of her movie Bring on the Dancing Horses. “I am here in beautiful Park City, Utah [and] it’s freezing cold,” he said via his Instagram Story at the time, noting that he was “so excited” to see the actress in the film. “But, I’m here for the big premiere of Bring on the Dancing Horses. Bosworth gushed over Long after wrapping their untitled project in the south. “THANK YOU for lifting us up ... you kept it light & full of laughter daily, even through the toughest moments,” she wrote via Instagram of the Accepted actor. “You gnome how much I love ya 💛 (sorry had to ;).”

The California native thanked the city of Fayetteville for being so hospitable, noting “everyone was so darn nice” before joking about the quirky murals in town. “The signs in particular were unique, as you all can see in pic 1 (in which I tried to be a creepy doll & couldn’t stop laughing :).”

Two months after the Remember the Titans actress was spotted without her wedding ring, she announced her split from husband Polish. The estranged couple began dating in 2011 after meeting on the set of Big Sur. They tied the knot two years later in Philipsburg, Montana.

“Our hearts are full, as we have never been so enamored and deeply grateful for one another as we do in this decision to separate,” Bosworth wrote via social media. “Together, over the last ten years, Michael and I have chosen love, every time. We hold hands as tightly today as we entangled fingers on our wedding day.”

The Jeepers Creepers star confirmed that he was in a relationship during an episode of his “Life is Short” podcast. While discussing pizza toppings with his guest, Long revealed, “People have been saying [pineapple] lately and it’s funny my girlfriend said that hers is uhh — she loves the pineapple, too.”

The twosome confirmed that he proposed “in a very organic way” after the couple went to therapy together.

“We had just gone through this really hard thing and we had spoken to a therapist and we were trying to move through things at the time and she gave us a really great piece of advice which was: ‘Make sure that you’re pretty consistently asking the other what you need, or asking the other what they need,’” Bosworth explained on Long’s “Life is Short with Justin Long” podcast. “I remember waking up not so many mornings after that therapy session and I looked at Justin and I said … I smiled at you, and I said, ‘What do you need?’ And he, like, really looked at me and he said, ‘To spend my life with you.’ And I smiled and I said, ‘Well, yeah, you have that. Oh my gosh, you have that,’ and he said, ‘No, I mean I really want to spend my life with you.’”

Secretly married? Long referred to Bosworth as his "now-wife" on an episode of his "Life is Short With Justin Long" podcast.

"I was [in Bulgaria] while I was like really falling in love with my now-wife," the actor told guest Kyra Sedgwick, referring to Bosworth's on-set visit to Barbarian.
