You can thank John Krasinski for this one! Emily Blunt went head-to-head with good friend Anne Hathaway on the Thursday, April 9 episode of Lip Sync Battle, which is produced by Blunt’s Office alum husband.
The British actress rolled up her sleeves and got serious about her performance to Blackstreet and Dr. Dre’s 1996 rap “No Diggity.” Her sassy attitude received huge applause from the audience, and she even gave her opponent, 32, a lap dance mid-song.
“I’ve been super method about it,” Blunt, 32, said during rehearsals. “I’ve been screaming at everybody pretty much all day because I don’t want a voice, and I guarantee Anne Hathaway is in full voice right now. She has a very secret process.”
Indeed, Hathaway, Blunt’s costar in 2006’s The Devil Wears Prada, shocked everyone when she recreated Miley Cyrus‘ crazy “Wrecking Ball” music video for her set.
Nevertheless, Blunt gave it all she got. She also got into character for Janis Joplin’s “Piece of My Heart” and repeated Benedict Cumberbatch’s name in her dressing room as a vocal exercise.
