The season 1 couple met in Colombia and later tied the knot in Russ’ native Oklahoma. In 2018, they announced that they were expecting their first child together, son Axel, who was born in January 2019. They are still married.
After eight years together, the couple announced in August 2021 that they were “taking a break” from their marriage, telling In Touch at the time that the COVID-19 pandemic hit them “very hard.” However, the pair were “not getting a divorce yet” and planned to go to therapy to “work through the issues.”
