The Governors Ball, the annual Emmys afterparty set for Monday, September 17, will relocate to the L.A. LIVE Event Deck for a rooftop-set evening under the stars.

Bartender Charles Joly teased the three official cocktails he created for the event along with Ketel One Vodka at the 70th Emmy Awards Governors Ball and 2018 Creative Arts Governors Ball events press preview on Thursday, September 6.

Guests will choose from a Radiance cocktail, which features an ice spear with frozen flowers that float as the ice melts, an Enlightenment cocktail, which is described as a strawberry and green tea-infused mixture, and a Restoration cocktail, an end-of-night drink that includes coffee liqueur and lemon oil.

Joly expects to make roughly 7,000 cocktails at both the Governors Ball and the Creative Arts Governors Ball Celebrations Saturday, September 8, and Sunday, September 9. He also estimates 1,000 bottles of Ketel One and 6,000 lbs of ice will be used.

Ferrari Trento will also be on hand for guests looking to toast Emmy winners at the Governors Ball. Mike Rosa, the company’s western division manager, expects to pour approximately 30,000 glasses of Ferrari Trento sparkling wine: That’s the rough equivalent of 5,000 bottles!

“The Ferrari brut is the most popular, but last time we saw something unique happen and the rosé really became one of the most popular pours of the night, so the rosé definitely made its stake last year against the brut to be the favorite of the fans,” Rosa told Us.

As the company’s CEO and President, Matteo Lunnelli told Us, this year brings bigger changes than just the locale: “This year’s Governors Ball is a little different in the sense that it is more of a glamorous cocktail reception, rather than the traditional seated dinner,” he said. “We are fortunate that Ferrari Trentodoc is extremely flexible and pairs with almost any cuisine. We spent a lot of time with the culinary team at Patina analyzing the structure, flavor, and emotion of the wines we will be serving, in order to ascertain the best flavors and textures to magnify the entire experience.”

Winners will receive their own engraved bottles of sparkling wine to take home.

Sterling Vineyards will debut its soon-to-launch Platinum Cabernet Sauvignon at the Governors Ball, and those who take home trophies can expect a personalized bottle of the company’s flagship (and very rare) Iridium Cabernet Sauvignon, too.

“We’re going to serve over 12,000 glasses, which is quite remarkable,” Tim Irwin, Sterling Vineyards’ luxury wine education director, revealed. “If we put every bottle out, that would go up and back on the red carpet three times.”

When attendees are ready for a pick-me-up, Don Francisco’s Coffee will also be waiting in the wings. Marketing director Lisette Gavina Lopez noted: “We’re estimating all together, because we’re participating in 24 days of events around this, so my gosh, it would have to be at least 10,000 cups of coffee.”
