La Roche-Posay’s presence in the skincare community is growing exponentially by the day. Plenty of other celebrities are also huge fans, including Anne Hathaway, Leighton Meester, Sarah Jessica Parker and Nina Dobrev! La Roche-Posay creates makeup removers with sensitive skin and eyes in mind, so those of all skin types are loving its variety of products, but this one takes the cake!
One shopper said this cleanser gave them “the confidence to wear natural makeup,” caking on fewer and fewer layers because they just don’t need to anymore. Others reported that their “little acne bumps are gone” and that “no new breakouts have appeared” since they started using this product. This daily face wash claims to be purifying, washing away impurities along with excess oil and, of course, our ever-so-stubborn eye makeup. The benefits don’t end there, however. Even though this cleanser strips away our makeup, it claims to not strip away anything we need to keep, maintaining our skin’s natural protective barrier and pH level! This means we’re left feeling clean and fresh, rather than tight and dry. It claims to leave no pore-clogging residue, either!
We know through Vogue UK that Chung is a La Roche-Posay fan, but what else makes it so great? That’s right, there’s more! This cleanser boasts some of the top-performing ingredients in all of skincare, including ceramide-3, niacinamide, glycerin and the brand’s own prebiotic thermal water. It’s dermatologist-tested, too, so it’s literally expert-approved!
When we use this cleanser, we should wash our face with lukewarm water so as to not dry it out. Always follow up a cleansing session with a toner. If we have oily skin, we should use a cotton pad to sweep toner across face, and if we’re more on the dry side, it’s best to pat and press it in with hands. Then follow up with any essences, sheet masks, serums, ampoules, eye creams and moisturizers!
Even if we don’t have a whole routine like that laid out, don’t worry, because this cleanser will still take good care of us on its own, too!
