Is it just Us or do we constantly find ourselves in need of new sweaters come every winter? A comfy pullover knit is more than just a mainstay in the cold weather months — it’s a uniform.
Almost every day we find ourselves putting on a good pair of leggings, jeans or sometimes even actual trousers for days full of meetings at work. Once we sort out the pant situation for the morning, we almost always grab a sweater to throw on as we rush out the door. This sweater is knit with textured marled yarn so it definitely has the comfortable and cozy factor we are always seeking. It’s warm enough for winter but lightweight enough to consider for year-round wear. Of course, the long sleeves will keep us warm but these ribbed sleeves make for snug fit.
The best part about this sweater is how perfectly slouchy it is. We have plenty of skin-tight sweaters that we often tuck into high-waisted pants, leggings and skirts. We also definitely have our fair share of baggy and tunic-length knits perfect for layering.
But this All In Favor sweater has just the right amount of room. It’s a breeze for days we want to tuck it into our pants a few inches at the front — an expert styling hack to define the waist for those opposed to clingy clothing. The half-tuck technique also can truly transform an outfit and this trick makes for the perfect balance of polished and relaxed. Fans of Tan France from Queer Eye know this is called the “French tuck” and can literally elevate every look.
Not all shirts and sweaters are tuckable, though, so when we spy one that can be styled multiple ways, it’s truly a gem. It’s especially helpful that the sides of this sweater are split with slits on the hem to prevent the awkward bunching effect when tucking goes awry. But this split hem isn’t so deep that you’d be showing any unwanted skin, though.

Of course, this knit also looks great without being tucked in, too, since it’s just slouchy enough without being completely overwhelming. The hem sits right at the hip so this will look polished even without the front-tuck hack.
This crewneck sweater isn’t bulky either, so it will fit perfectly underneath winter coats as well as under a leather jacket for those in-between months.
In a grey hue, this sweater really is that piece in the closet that works with any look. Try the half-tuck with a pair of tailored trousers, a sleek tote and pumps for work. This sweater is ideal for more casual occasions, too, and pairs extra well with literally any pair of jeans and leggings. We already foresee keeping this on after work hours with our pajamas pants to cozy up on the couch for a Netflix binge. Thanks to those side split hems, this knit is also great for layering. Since it’s a lightweight knit, it could easily transcend well beyond winter, too. That means we’ll also be wearing this knit on top of jumpsuits and booties at the end of winter when the temperatures start to warm up. We can even wear this during spring on top of a midi dress.
