Considering how many pairs of denim shorts we’ve owned in our lives, you’d think we would have found a pair we loved by now. Sure, we see plenty we love visually, but putting them on is another story. The discomfort is too real, and yet we still can’t resist wearing them because they’re just so cute and timeless!
When we found the Tommy Hilfiger Cuffed Shorts, everything changed. It was like the sun shone a little brighter, the flowers bloomed more lavishly and the birds started to sing only after we had already woken up for the day. Most importantly, we found the blend of comfort and style we’d been hoping for in one pair of shorts, and, you know it — those shorts are on sale!

These denim shorts are pulling five-star reviews out of shoppers like a magician pulling rabbits out of their hat. Shoppers say these shorts are “super comfortable” and “soft,” with a “very flattering fit.” One mused that they “feel good” about themselves while wearing them, and that’s the best quality a piece can have. Others spoke about the high-quality construction, loving how the cuffs “actually stay folded” and the waistband “does not cut into” their stomach!
A hugely popular aspect of these shorts is, as one reviewer put it, they’re “not too long, not too short,” but just the right length. They’re not short shorts or Daisy Dukes, but they’re not knee-length Bermuda shorts either. They fall somewhere in between, form-fitting enough for a structured shape, but not cutting off our circulation or squeezing our thighs. This means they’ll not only ride up less, but can also prevent chafing, which is huge in the summer, a.k.a. shorts season!
This length is also perfect for when we imagine the different scenarios in which we’ll wear these Tommy Hilfiger shorts. Going on a hike in the heat? These shorts’ stretchy cotton blend will keep us comfy as we step over rocks and across streams. Plus, if we need to take a water break, we can sit down without getting any dirt where it shouldn’t go!

These shorts have a mid-rise waistband, a classic zipper and button closure, and belt loops for accessorizing. As mentioned in their name, they also have cuffs, which are always adorable and casually cool. Both blue pairs feature whiskering at the hips, but unlike the darker Cape Blue, the lighter Pacific Blue pair also features a little fading toward the bottom. White, on the other hand, keeps things crisp and solid throughout!
Styling these cuffed denim shorts is a breeze, as they’re extremely versatile and made to go “with everything.” To keep it super simple, just slip them on with a T-shirt or tank top, a pair of sneakers and maybe a ponytail. To dress them up a little more, which is especially our plan with the white pair, we can trade the sneakers for flats, tuck in a button-up linen top and drape a blazer over our shoulders. Chic, yet professional. The shorts having a longer length makes them totally work-appropriate, too!
