We’re going to need everyone to stop what they’re doing right now, because this is a fashion emergency. The good kind! We found a designer sale so major that we are pretty sure it actually fell from heaven. What better way to welcome it to Earth than to wear it and show it around?
We’re talking about the Tie Front Mini Dress from Diane von Furstenberg. Originally creeping up toward the $300 range, this dress is over $160 off right now, bringing it down to just over $100! A full 60% off! No, this is not a dupe. This is real DVF, hence our freakout!
This mini dress is not a basic, but it’s just as versatile as one. It’s adorable, it’s professional, it’s super trendy and it’s all we’ve ever wanted in a dress. It has a relaxed, ultra-flattering A-line silhouette which flows fabulously and comfortably, and its details are impeccable!
Let’s talk about the sleeves, because we can’t wait any longer. Starting up top, we’ll find ruched shoulders. These stylish shoulders are what happens when someone takes shoulder pads, completely tears them apart and reconstructs them to actually flatter in the 21st century with no actual padding. As we work our way down the arms, we’ll find the sleeves turn into ‘70s-inspired bell sleeves! Unique sleeves, such as bell sleeves, balloon sleeves and butterfly sleeves are super in this year and the best way to show that we’re on top of our fashion game.
Another notable detail of this dress is the draped neck tie at the bottom of the V-neckline. We can tie it in a knot and let the loose ends hang or we can choose to tie them into a cute bow! This draping tie complements the swinging skirt of the dress beautifully, creating a sense of movement even when we’re standing still!
In the back of this dress we’ll find a hidden zip closure, which matches with the blue of the fabric. That blue, though. The shade is called Sapphire and it’s a stunner, for sure. It’s bright without being neon, and it’s vivid without being obnoxious. It’s a cool color with a hot look and it’s bound to look gorgeous on any skin tone!
So how, and where, would we wear this dress? The possibilities are vast. We could easily wear it to the office with a pair of flats or block heels, maybe even pulling our hair into a bun to let the neck tie shine. We could also wear it to attend a wedding, pairing it with black or perhaps silvery stilettos, a matching clutch and an elegant, brushed-out curl in our hair.
We could also just wear this dress on any regular day, dressing it down for a “Yes, I look this cute every day” look. Just slip on a pair of sandals or even sneakers!
It’s no surprise that sizes are already starting to sell out, so if we want to claim this dress as our own, we recommend acting quickly. It’s not often we find a DVF dress for a hundred bucks – especially one we can wear almost anywhere we go!
