We are still stunned by so many of the fittingly dramatic looks from this year’s Met Gala. The over-the-top dresses, accessories, shoes and makeup fit the “Camp: Notes on Fashion” theme with flawless finesse, making the concept look so good we’re considering incorporating it into our daily life!
Okay, maybe we won’t be wearing dresses with 7-foot long trains to work, but we can certainly wear this Chantecaille Lumiere Rose Highlighter! This dazzling powder made an appearance on the gorgeous Emma Roberts at the event, giving her an enviable glow we won’t soon forget. Luckily, we can achieve the same exact one, as makeup artist Nikki DeRoest dropped the details of the actress’ stunning look!
This highlighter is a shimmering pale pink, which beautifully complemented Roberts’ skin tone. She wore a vibrant pink Giambattista Valli Couture dress, with layers of tulle cascading off her body, but with this highlighter illuminating her face, she didn’t let the dress wear her; she brilliantly wore it and completely owned it!
This highlighter comes in an exclusive de Gournay decorated compact. The luxury design company not only collaborated with Chantecaille for the compact case, but for the highlighter itself, too! An embossed, rosy design can be found on both the case and on the highlighter itself! We almost don’t even want to use it so we don’t ruin it! Keyword: almost. Luckily, we can always keep the case itself, as well as the deluxe gift box it comes in!
This Lumiere Rose highlighter was key to crafting Roberts’ fairy-like look, working alongside flowers and Irene Neuwirth jewels, as well as other Chantecaille beauty to form a “delicate, all-over glow.” Looking for her pretty-pink lipstick shade? We’ve got you. It’s right here, in the Lotus shade! Hoping to achieve her clear complexion? DeRoest used this foundation in Porcelain and this concealer in Shade 1. To build up the luster even more, we can also layer on this highlighting liquid in Luster, just as Roberts wore!
For even more details on Roberts’ look, check out DeRoest’s Instagram post where she listed out every key product she used! She also tagged Roberts’ stylist and hair stylist if we want to dive in even further!
The Chantecaille Lumiere Rose Highlighter is made in Italy and features no parabens, phthalates or added fragrances. It was also created without any animal testing. Cruelty-free is the way to be!
To use this highlighting powder, all we need to do is lightly dust it on top of our cheekbones, the bridge of our nose and above our brow. These are all features where light naturally hits, so we want to make sure when it does hit that we’re ready to reflect it back with ravishing radiance! Feel free to use fingers, a brush or even a beauty blender!
Now, the only thing left to do is find and slip on our own pair of Jimmy Choo shoes and we’ll be ready to rock the Met Gala in no time. Sadly, it looks like we’ll have to wait another year, but we can certainly practice every day until then! We certainly wouldn’t hate keeping this opulent compact in our bag 24/7!
