Gibson continues to release some of our favorite collaborations ever, this brand new one with Lindsey Schuster of The Motherchic blog. This dress is the ultimate summer staple, so let’s get into why!

This dress is made from a super soft, comfortable jersey fabric in a light heather grey. Light grey is one of the easiest colors to wear and pair, so it’s only fitting that this dress has a super simple slip-on style. It’s super stretchy, and it’s sleeveless, making it a top choice for warmer weather, with its hem hitting above the knee!
Back up top, we’ll find a surplice V-neckline, with a hidden snap at the bottom of the V to keep everything “magically” in place. One side of the V laps over the other at the point, creating the faux-wrap bodice we love so much. It ends at the elasticized waist, which cinches in to create definition and shape, but that’s not a wrap — there’s more wrapping to come!
The skirt of this dress also takes on a faux-wrap style, letting the fabric drape like a beautiful tulip blooming in an ethereal garden. Double the wrap means double the flattering fit! Because it’s a faux-wrap, the fabric is sewn together, meaning we can let any worries about wardrobe malfunctions float away. In fact, we don’t have to worry about anything at all. Just slip this dress on and let it take care of the rest!

Lindsay Schuster was an amazing choice for Gibson to collaborate with, as she completely understands and captures the essence of wanting to look fashionable without spending an hour getting dressed every morning. She’s all about clothing that makes people feel great about themselves. Just as importantly, the clothing needs to be “accessible” and “wearable.” This dress encapsulates these ideas flawlessly, and its gorgeous shape will put a smile on anyone’s face!
This dress fits true to size, but we can check out the Gibson size guide if we want to make sure it’s love at first try-on. The only other thing we need to decide is how we’re going to wear it first! Slip on a pair of white sneakers and voila, an adorable outfit that took approximately, what, 30 seconds to put on?
We can also play with some other styles. Tie up some combat boots and layer on a designer leather jacket for an edgier look. Trade the boots in for heels and the jacket in for a shawl and suddenly we have a romantic date ensemble! Don’t forget some stunning lipstick! Get creative!
