If you’re tired of jogging on the treadmill at the gym every week, you’ll love what the Booty Shaping and Resistance Training Journal has in store for you. With the help of Jennifer Cohen, a respected health and fitness expert, Badass Body Goals has gathered 10 weeks efficient, guided workouts that get your body into great shape, helping you look and feel better than ever before. What types of workouts can you expect to do, you ask? More like, what kinds of exercises won’t you do, if you catch our drift.

As a part of your weekly workouts, you’ll have access to HIIT, resistance training and core stabilization exercises that are great for building lean muscle. You’ll also have the opportunity to take your workouts to new heights with the included glute activation band, promising new bounce to that booty of yours. And unlike other workout guides, The Booty Shaping & Resistance Training Journal provides you with access to 50 extensive workouts complete with helpful explanations accompanying images so you can be sure you’re exercising to your full potential.

But one of the most important parts of the program is the fact that you’ll be able to closely track your progress as you go.  This can help you navigate around plateaus you happen to hit, examine how far you’ve come and plan for the future. By tracking your exercise and progress, you’re able to create a plan that works best for you so you can realistically reach your goals. And when it comes to working out and getting summer ready, it’s not all about the outside. Implementing a consistent workout regimen into your weekly routine helps you to actually feel more confident and ready to take on the world — and the public pool, of course.

Worried your workout routine won’t stick? Even the most motivated people in the world get off track, we’re all human after all. Check out these helpful tips to stay on track and meet your fitness goals like a boss.

Start small.

If you’ve never fit in workouts into your daily life, thinking you’ll be able to keep up with two-hour-long workout sessions after work every night is unrealistic. Sure, you may be able to have a schedule like that someday, but if you want to keep it real, stick with a routine you know you can handle. Squeeze in ten minutes of exercise into your lunch break at work, or wake up 20 minutes earlier a couple of days a week to fit in some core training. The more used to working out you get, you can slowly increase your activity.

Remember, reaching your fitness goals isn’t a race, it’s a marathon. In other words, keep things steady so that you reach your goals and can maintain all the amazing progress you’ve made!

Share the wealth.

Sure, working out alone is usually the most convenient, but you’d be surprised how motivating it is to get a little social with your exercise. Whether it’s one other person or a small group of friends, working out together can really help keep you on track. This is especially true on days where you’re feeling especially lazy and would rather binge The Office for the eighth time and stick your face into a giant bag of greasy potato chips. Being part of a group keeps you accountable and you’ll be more likely to reach your goals faster. Plus, being able to support each other through your fitness journey can be really good for the soul.

Give yourself a break.

Face it, you’re not Jillian Michaels! Sometimes you like to eat pizza or spend Sunday afternoons on the couch. You can’t work out all the time. But instead of feeling down about falling off track sometimes, remember that this is completely natural and it’s actually healthy to indulge in not-so-healthy pastimes once in a while.  If you deprive yourself of the things you love 100% of the time, you’ll be really unhappy which may actually work against you when it comes to reaching your fitness goals. Working out and staying on track will start to feel more like a chore than a productive process, and you’ll dread doing it every day.

Be your own motivator.

After weeks and weeks of working out, it’s only natural to feel a little tired. That’s why it’s a good idea to take pictures of yourself as you go so that you can see how far you’ve come. Realizing the progress you’ve made can really help give you that extra push when you need it most. In addition, it’s always a good idea to surround yourself with positive people that want to see you succeed.  As for negative people with plenty of opinions about what workouts you should be doing, or that want to tell you why what you’re doing didn’t work for them — ain’t nobody got time for that. Stick with people that love and support you, and celebrate with them when you reach your goals!
