We all suffer from FOMO when it comes to makeup, and we’re definitely the worst when it comes to mascara. As soon as we try out a new product, we’re suddenly overwhelmed with the “fear of missing out” on something better. We want to make sure we have the best lashes on the block and we won’t settle for smudging or spider lashes. We need a mascara that eliminates that FOMO feeling for good!
With Charlotte Tilbury’s Full Fat Lashes mascara, we’re saying farewell to mascara FOMO once and for all. Actress and dancer Jenna Dewan, known for her stunning beauty and hilarious personality, recently revealed this popular product as one of her biggest beauty secrets. She posted a YouTube video of her 10-minute, everyday makeup look, reaffirming what we already believed: This mascara is worth our attention.

Shoppers can’t get enough of the look of their lashes with this mascara on. One described theirs as “perfectly coated fat lashes” when using this product, noting that they stay like that until their end-of-day face cleanse. Another said how “it’s perfectly buildable,” not producing any unwanted clumps or flakes, and that even when their FOMO got to them, they always came “running back.” One happy shopper called this mascara “phenomenal,” loving its ability to flawlessly separate their lashes. Someone even said that they “have been asked several times” if they were wearing fake lashes when wearing this mascara!
So what makes this mascara so special? Charlotte Tilbury herself actually used to use five separate mascaras on her A-list clients to achieve perfect lashes, but since she created Full Fat Lashes, all she needs is one step!
When Dewan uses this multi-tasking mascara, she made sure to note that she always coats her bottom lashes, too. The brush has “maximum-count” fine-tipped bristles so that even our tiny corner lashes and sparse bottom lashes won’t be left bare. It’s a laser-cut, five-groove brush, so it evenly coats each and every one of the lashes it touches in a single stroke. This may result in curled, separated, lengthened and voluminous lashes that will have us seeing ourselves through new eyes. Very gorgeous new eyes.
The formula is glossy, so not only will we have that extra shine, but we can always add more coats or reapply if we’re in for a very long night! The formula may create “voluptuous, three-dimensional flutter” we could only previously achieve with falsies, expect with this mascara, we don’t have to worry about our lashes falling off before we’re ready to say goodnight. It claims to be smudge-proof, too, so everything should stay on just as we apply it!
To use this mascara, it’s recommended that we start at the inner corner of the eye so we can work outward for a more dramatic effect. As we move the brush toward our outer lashes, we should make zigzag movements to separate our lashes as we work from our roots to our tips. This may also leave us an impressive curl, even without a curler!
Once we reach our outer lashes, we should pull the brush upward and outward to encourage length. Another tip, specifically to add more volume, is to “nestle the tip of the brush into the roots” before stroking. Repeat on bottom lashes to emulate Dewan’s favorite look!
We have one more tip, but we can’t scientifically prove if it works or not. There’s a good chance most of us even do it already! Dewan even freely admitted to it. If we open our mouths when applying our mascara, doesn’t it seem like it helps with the application? Dewan specifically called this her “mirror face” and we couldn’t help but laugh, but only because we completely relate!
To perfect our eye look that much more, we can also take another tip from Dewan. Our mascara is never going to look its best when it’s surrounded by dark and scary eye bags, right? We can fix that with Dewan’s pick, a Clé de Peau Beauté concealer that doubles as a sunscreen! She uses the Ocher shade, for reference, calling it “magic.”
