SoulCycle is taking over the world. It takes regular stationary biking and ups it by about 50 notches, usually motivating people with dim lights, loud music and inspirational instructors. It’s changing fitness for the better, transforming bodies and minds everywhere. We’re definitely on the cycle train . . . or bike. So why not rep our favorite workout with some cool merch?
The Skull Graphic Sweatshirt is our current favorite piece from the Soul by SoulCycle collection that just dropped at Nordstrom. It screams “athletic,” all the while whispering “cute,” “stylish” and “confidently edgy.” Now that’s a good mix!

This sweatshirt is a pullover crew neck, the epitome of taking it easy, which is ironic when we think about how much we’re sweating during a cycling session! We’re digging the dichotomy. That’s what makes fashion interesting! It’s like when a beautiful piano song plays during an action scene in a movie, or like when we put salt on our ice cream. It just works!
The outside of this sweatshirt is a soft, light heather grey, while the inside is even softer for maximum comfort. The hem and the cuffs of the sleeves are both ribbed for a textural element that will also work to keep this sweatshirt fitted properly around our wrists and hips. It’s not too fitted overall, though! It has a relaxed fit, not clinging too closely to our body, but not bulking us up either.
The main feature of this SoulCycle sweatshirt is the large center graphic. It’s a bold red skull-and-crossbones design, with the word “soul” written underneath in entirely capital letters. Rocking this not only reminds us to treat ourselves and our souls well, but it also looks majorly cool.
Don’t live near a SoulCycle? This sweatshirt can help anyone be a part of the movement and its encouraging community. It’s also that much more motivation to make it to a class someday!
Speaking of cycling classes and workouts in general, we’re wearing this sweatshirt to and on our way home from the gym. To the gym, it’s great for when we’re not wearing too much underneath, not wanting to over-layer for an upcoming sweat session, but still needing to stay warm. After our workout, once we’re done showering, we’ll also need something to keep us warm out in the real world, and it doesn’t hurt that it’s cozy enough to soothe our aching muscles!

We wouldn’t reserve this skull sweatshirt solely for fitness classes or at-home pilates solo sessions. It deserves so much more than that, so make sure to wear it out and about for hangouts with friends, movie trips, late concert nights or even just for running errands at the grocery store. We can even try tucking it into our bottoms for a high-fashion approach!
SoulCycle is so widely beloved for many reasons, and celebrities can’t get enough. Kyle Richards, star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, recently told Us about how exercise alleviates her anxiety and helps her feel good. She specifically mentioned SoulCycle, saying she’ll go multiple times a week to relieve her stress! It can do the same for us, too. Then we can slip this sweatshirt on to remind us of how great we felt after our workout.
Richards isn’t the only celeb attending SoulCycle classes. It’s a favorite of the queen, Beyoncé, herself. She has often been spotted attending the classes with her husband, Jay-Z, but has also gone with Destiny’s Child groupmate Kelly Rowland. Once, when the two went together, Usher, Lee Daniels and Jenna Dewan were also in the class!
Even Kim Kardashian has raved about SoulCycle before, saying that her sister, Khloé Kardashian got her into it a few years ago, and that she was attending plenty of classes with fierce momager Kris Jenner.
If a workout is worthy of Beyonce and the Kardashians, it’s more than worthy enough for Us, and we want to represent with this sweatshirt! The entire Soul by SoulCycle line is killing it in the athleisure department and we may or may not want every single piece. Hint: We do.
