It’s one thing when a friend links us to a piece of clothing and tells us we should check it out, but it’s another thing when over 1,000 reviewers, spanning over multiple years, are practically begging us to try a piece for ourselves. It doesn’t happen too often, so when it does, we need to sit ourselves down and listen up. There’s a reason this sweater is mass-accumulating amazing reviews and it’s becoming clearer and clearer as we click through the colors.
The Cozy Twist Front Pullover by Gibson is a basic that can operate as anything we need it to. One shopper raved about how they can wear it “over [their] gym clothes, with leggings for errands,” or “dress it up for a dinner out with skinny jeans [and] earrings.” Others commented on the refreshing fit, which “has a nice drape” and therefore “doesn’t cling where it’s not supposed to.” Along those lines, one shopper made sure to specify that the draping is not “baggy,” but instead stylish and flattering. We’re also seeing so many comments about how “incredibly soft” this lightweight sweater is, which obviously is a priority in pretty much all of our purchases.

The most exciting and standout accent of this sweater is the twisted detail at the front hem. It achieves the look of a French tuck without actually having anything tucked in, and also forgoes the struggle of deciding just how far our top should blouse out over our bottoms. The twist takes care of that for us for a perfect “tuck” every time!
The bottom of the hem falls below our hips while the highest part hits toward the top of our hips. The sweater has a relaxed, slightly oversized fit, so the hem falling closer to tunic length makes perfect sense. This longer length is offset by the three-quarter-length sleeves, which help to even further separate this sweater from any old sweatshirt hanging around in our closet.
The fabric of this Cozy Twist top is, as we mentioned, extra soft. It’s cut from a heathered knit fabric, which feels luxurious and also adds a textural element, visually, especially on the grey shade. This understated detail, along with the crew neckline, helps the twist and fit to stand out and makes this sweater a staple for everyday wear. Gibson’s specialty is creating “supersoft, updated basics,” after all!
This sweater-top is available in seven colors. One for Sunday, one for Monday, one for Tuesday . . . just kidding (but totally not). We can always start with Black for an eternally flattering and fashionable piece. We can also explore the realm of colors though — no need to limit ourselves!

For all of the blue lovers out there, there’s Blue Maze, a vivid cobalt color, as well as Cornflower, a lighter, springtime blue that would complement pretty pinks and accents of sunny yellow.
There’s also Heather Grey, which we mentioned before as a shade that spotlights the heathered texture, and of course can be paired with any color we can think up. Also very easy to pair, mix and match is Pink Smoke, a very pale pink reminiscent of the lightest petal on a pink carnation.
More into purple than pink? Or want both? Check out the Lavender Solid shade. It’s a pastel purple that has a similar calming effect as its namesake flower. If we were actually looking for a bright mix of purple and pink, then Purple Vinter Solid is the choice for us. It’s a vibrant fuchsia that’s inspiring us to dress up! We just need to grab a pair of heels or our favorite flats.
Because of this top’s relaxed fit, it’s recommended that if we’re between sizes, sizing down to the way to go so we can achieve the perfectly imperfect nonchalance of a style guru. That goes for if we’re going out to dinner, headed to a yoga class, stopping by a corner store for a snack or preparing to cruise through a presentation at the office.
Where should we wear this top to next? We admit that we can be a little lazy, but this twist sweater is throwing a twist in our lives, too. We actually want to go out! As long as we’re wearing it, that is. Who are we to keep the world from witnessing such brilliance?
