Saying “so long” to Down Under, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle embarked on the next leg of their whirlwind international tour in Fiji on Tuesday, October 23. The mom to be looked every bit a royal in a white long-sleeve Zimmermann maternity dress and Stephen Jones hat at the official welcome ceremony in Suva, but it was her dainty jewelry that really got our attention. The Duchess of Sussex paid tribute to her husband’s family by wearing earrings Queen Elizabeth II gifted to her and a tennis bracelet from Prince Charles.

For starters, let’s talk about the ear candy. The former Suits actress spent her first day in Fiji wearing the timeless pearl and diamond set given to her by the Queen. The Duchess first debuted the simple drop design (which was initially believed to be by one of her go-to jewelers, Birks, before Buckingham Palace confirmed they were actually a gift from the monarch), for her first official solo appearance with Her Majesty in Cheshire in June.

At the time, the newly minted royal paired the elegant bling with a white Givenchy dress and black accessories. But, wait, there’s more! Meghan also wore the earrings just last month when she and Harry attended the WellChild Awards. For that event, the Duchess gave them a boss-lady spin by rocking a Altuzarra pantsuit with a black Deitas top.

In keeping with the family affair, Meghan was also wearing a diamond bracelet believed to be a wedding gift from her father-in-law Prince Charles at the event in Fiji. The tennis bracelet design is perfectly in keeping with the Duchess’ preference for delicate jewelry, and she first debuted the piece when arriving at Cliveden House the night before tying the knot back in May.

She fittingly broke out the classic accessory soon after with her blush-colored GOAT dress and Philip Treacy fascinator for an event at Buckingham Palace celebrating the Prince of Wales’ upcoming 70th birthday, but we hadn’t seen the sparkler again until now.

Considering Meghan has already honored her late mother-in-law Princess Diana on this royal tour by wearing a pair of butterfly earrings from her collection upon arriving in Australia on Monday, October 15, the sentimental sparklers don’t come as too much of a surprise. The Princess of Wales first wore the whimsical bling during an official trip to Canada in 1986, and they proved to be the perfect complement to the Duchess of Sussex’s simple Karen Gee sheath dress in Sydney some two decades later.
