Who doesn’t love to borrow clothes?! Serena Williams tried on her 2-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.’s top and we’re actually laughing out loud.
In an Instagram post on Monday, August 17, the 38-year-old tennis pro shared a video of herself wearing a teeny tiny cropped top covered in colorful stars. “I knew me and my daughter would be wearing the same size soon,” Williams says as she poses in the mirror. “This is her top.”
In the accompanying caption, the mom of one wrote, “Must. Swipe Right.” This movement reveals her adorable girl wearing the same little shirt with ruffled sleeves and a bold design. However, it’s not quite as small on the 2-year-old.
Her close friend Damarri Eddie took to the comments to tease the athlete. “You done stretched my nieces shirt out to a 2xl,” he wrote. “You were THAT bored???” Williams simply replied with a series of crying laughing emojis.
A-listers also flocked to the comments to join in on the joke. “Already ‘borrowing’ her clothes,” fellow tennis competitor Caroline Wazniacki commented. “I knew it was only a matter of time before u starting copying her,” Teen Wolf star Colton Haynes wrote.
This isn’t the only twinning moment the mother-daughter duo has had. Back in September 2019, the pair posed in fuchsia-hued swimsuits that celebrated their playful spirits. On the front of the mom’s suit read, “the shady one,” while the little girl’s said, “wild child.” Obsessed.
They also like to don princess dresses from time to time. For instance, on Thursday, June 11, the Grand Slam champion posted a video of them both wearing yellow ruffled dresses while singing “Belle” from Beauty and the Beast. A couple months later on Thursday, August 6, she shared a snap of her daughter zipping up the back of her matching pink tulle dress. “She’s got my back already,” she wrote in the accompanying caption. “And I’ll always have hers.” It’s so cute, we can’t even handle it.
