Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels could be in big trouble.

The third lawsuit against the Jillian Michaels Maximum Strength Calorie Control pill supplement was filed late Tuesday in Los Angeles County Court.

Kathy Hensley claims the diet pills contain a "potentially lethal" ingredient called citrus aurantium, which can cause high blood pressure and cardiac issues in rare instances.

In addition to suing Michaels, Hensley names the pills' maker Thin Care, Basic Research and Walgreens. She's suing for less than $5,000.

After the first suit was filed, Michaels, 36, told the new issue of Us Weekly in a statement that the claims against her pills -- which contain coffee bean extract and guarana -- are "entirely without merit.

"I stand behind all of my products," she added.

ThinCare also shot back to Us, "We are confident we will prevail."

I think that people feel like they KNOW jillian because they see her on the biggest loser - the show will not reveal the faults of the trainers so people watching the show feel that the trainers are perfect and then when they see products on the market with the trainers on it- they feel safe. I don't think that is the fault of jillian completely. I do think she should realize that and make sure her product is safe. I don't think that it is solely the fault of the people either - like I said- they feel safe to see her on the package and then fail to read the fine print. It is very true that most (if not all) diet pills have similar warnings. It is a fact that the best way to lose weight is a change in food plan and exercise. But that is also the case to live heart healthy or diabetic healthy- but sometimes we need the assistance of medications. Some people like the supplemental options when losing weight but every pill and every plan you see on tv (nutri system, jenny craig, etc) says "results not typical" and "to be used with a healthy diet and exercise" We need to take time to research before going on some fad options. I think it is ridiculous that this is in court- it is a take at your own risk item! But I feel no one is more at fault than the other.....

I use the Dr Max Powers Burn Supplements and saw results in a short period of time. Not only did it help me lose weight, I received a lot of comments about how I looked 'younger' and 'better.' Also helped with energy before and during workouts. I am now on my second re-order. Further, I had a problem with my mail and the website customer service was fantastic as to helping me get the product. Highly recommend.

Jason, you should be commended for your use of "sycophantically." Not much use of that word these days. Nice to know you found a thesaurus. Secondly, your argument contradicts itself. You are defending a woman who, in your own words, "promoted an organic, healthy lifestyle." How is the changing of the body's natural chemistry through a dangerous supplement "organic" and "healthy"? I am a doctor, and there is (listen up people) NOTHING on the market today that will SAFELY make you lose weight. Weight loss is a bout a lifestyle change, plain and simple. Proper diet, exercise, and a little hard work is all that is needed. EVERY supplement out there contains chemicals that alter your heart rate, reprogram your nervous system, and can cause significant kidney and digestive damage. IT'S ALL POISON. Jillian DOESN'T CARE if you get sick. That's why she has lawyers. They stuck a warning in microscopic print somewhere on the bottle and it's your fault if you didn't read it. That much is true. But this woman is a fraud. She's out to capitalize on her fame, at your, or anyone else's expense. Take it back to the store or just get rid of it.

If you read the labels of most "diet pills", they warn you about the possibility of increasing your blood pressure and causing cardiac issues. Thats what diet pills do! They speed up your body systems so that you have less of an appetite, and lose weight....this lady doesn't want anything but money. I bet she could care less about the pills!!

Hi i,m from England this women who is suing Jillian Michaels just wants her five minutes of fame if these diet pills are not working for just get your moneyback there is such thing as a thirty day money back guarentee instead of wasting people,s time, money and space anyone with a brain should ask for there money back

To Sheryl....she's not pushing pills on anyone. If people are choosing to try this method, it's their CHOICE. She shouldn't be sued because somebody is too lazy to try any other method and is looking for a miracle in a pill. It's a SUPPLEMENT, not magic. You still have to eat properly and exercise WHICH THE DIRECTIONS INDICATE. Just another desperate attempt from someone to get something for nothing. I hope these people lose big time and have to pay more $$ for Jillians legal fees.

It just doesn't seem she would put her name on a brand that wasn't researched beforehand. Seems strange that she would even promote a pill. When diet and exercise is her thing..hmmmm

I like her videos and routines and have seen results, but I don't think dietary supplements are the way to go. I think that the faster you lose weight, the faster you gain it back. Best to eat healthy and cut calories than use pills as a supplement.

As one of the foremost advocates of diet and exercise, Jillian Michaels has been an inspiration to those on the Biggest Loser --and millions of their fans. The pill, which contains appetite suppresants, will work --but it's not a magic pill. She's promoted an organic, healthy lifestyle that has opened the eyes of many trying to lose weight. She's gonna win, and the fatass plaintiff in this case should have to pay all of Michaels' legal bills, as well as identify herself as the gold-digging, welfare recipient that she is. Garbage human being with no discipline sycophantically draining the system of resources and distracting the legal system from more important matters. People like this infuriate me. Jillian's already filed a counter suit in answer to the previous two lawsuits, and she'll do the same here. And she'll win. Sheryl obviously has no idea who she is, but I'm glad she felt the need to "weigh in" on it. BTW, the chunk who filed the lawsuit could have easily just taken advantage of the money-back guarantee. By now, she's used to filling out forms for free money, so it shouldn't be too hard.

Every doctor I have ever spoken to has said that diet pills are dangerous and can kill people. This woman claims she is a health nut yet she pushes pills on people with claims of weight loss. She should be sued. And I hope she loses her a.ss in court. There are only a few methods to weight loss and those are diet, exercise and as a last resort, surgery. This woman is a fake. Just another money making scheme at the expense of peoples lives.
