The Super Bowl itself may have been a snooze fest, but the game day feasts were most definitely on point, with spreads that included just about every bar food one could think of and then some.
While watching the New England Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 in Super Bowl LIII, stars such as Chrissy Teigen, Jessie James Decker and Kelly Ripa showed off an array of tasty eats that likely made watching the lowest scoring championship NFL game in history just a tad more worthwhile and entertaining.
For example, in addition to throwing together some food items of her own, food-obsessed Teigen also feasted on prepared eats from around the nation thanks to Goldbelly, the popular online food marketplace that connects the most iconic regional and local food providers to consumers around the country. Her selection included Pat’s Cheesesteaks from Philly, Prince Street’s famous Spicy Square Pizza and dishes from Blue Smoke BBQ. She also ordered Central Grocery Muffulettas from New Orleans, Blue Owl Mile High Apple Pie from Missouri and T-Rex Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie from Minnesota, which weighs five pounds. Clearly there was no shortage of food in the Teigen-Legend household!
An under the weather Mindy Kaling also got some help from others in preparing food on Sunday, February 3. The author used a private chef to assist with her Super Bowl Sunday spread (which included an inflatable stadium) and boasted everything from shrimp cocktail to cookies, while Ripa and Jennifer Garner seemingly did the prep work themselves – cooking pulled pork and “creamy” mac and cheese and Ina Garten’s chicken chili, respectively.
And even though the scrumptious eats are meant to simply accompany the game, chef Alton Brown made it clear that he was more interested in watching his ribs “sit in dry rub” than checking out the match up itself.
