Diana Cooper

Summary

Diana Cooper is a reporter for the Us Weekly digital team. She’s on top of breaking news, nailing exclusives and contributing to editorial content. She brings years of experience working in the celebrity and entertainment news industry. She can be found on red carpets in New York City and at parties and events where she’s seen rubbing elbows with celebrities. In her downtime, Diana loves trying out all different types of fitness classes and watching trending shows on Netflix.

Work or writing background leading to expertise

Diana started out as an intern at Us Weekly before returning years later. Her internship consisted of many “firsts,” which made her fall in love with being a reporter. She spent the next seven years at In Touch Weekly and Life & Style Weekly, where her skills, experience and network has grown immensely. She can’t keep track of all the interviews she’s done, but surely is reminded of some of them when celebs like Fergie ask, “Do I know you?”

Her most cherished interviews to date include Johnny Depp at a party in Florida, Shawn Mendes (before he became famous!), Kevin Hart in a casino in Connecticut and Adam Sandler in Toronto (on his birthday)!

The best experience for this particular job is being up close and personal. Diana has too many stories she can share about hanging out with A-listers and reality stars — enough to write a book — but some of her favorites include riding on a private jet with Jamie Foxx, going surfing in Hawaii with Rob Riggle and chatting it up with Bradley Cooper at A Star Is Born celebration at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Education

Diana graduated from Temple University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She studied abroad in Paris during her second to last semester of college through CEA Study Abroad. It’s no wonder why she’s become obsessed with Emily in Paris and can’t help but be reminded of the six months she spent hopping to different European countries on the weekends.

Work history

Diana will never forget her college winter break spent working inside the Teen Vogue fashion closet. It was right after this she realized fashion wasn’t her forte and landed an internship at Bauer Media Group. Her internship turned into a freelance position, both writing and reporting for In Touch Weekly, Life & Style Weekly and Closer Weekly, and then turned into a full-time position. She proudly joined the Us Weekly team in December 2020.
