Jamie Campbell Bower

Jamie Campbell Bower is an English actor, musician and singer best known for playing Vecna in Stranger Things, Caius in The Twilight Saga films and young Gellert Grindelwald in the Harry Potter franchise. Bower was born in London, where he was raised in a family with strong ties to the music industry. His mother worked as a music manager and his father worked for Gibson Guitar Corporation. He attended Bedales School in Hampshire and trained with both the National Youth Music Theatre and the National Youth Theatre before launching his professional career.

Bower got his start in Hollywood after being introduced to an agent through family friend Laura Michelle Kelly. He made his feature film debut in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street in 2007 and quickly emerged as one of the industry’s rising young actors. His profile later grew through high-profile roles in The Twilight Saga films as Caius in the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films as Young Grindelwald.

In addition to his appearances in the Twilight and Harry Potter films, Bower appeared in projects including The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (2013), Six Days of Sistine (2019), Witchboard (2024) and Emmanuel (2024). On television, landed early recurring appearances on shows like Camelot and Will. In 2022, he joined the cast of Netflix’s Stranger Things as Vecna, earning critical acclaim for his performance.

Outside of acting, he was the lead singer of the band Counterfeit and later launched the band BloodMagic.

Bower was engaged to Bonnie Wright after the pair met while filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, but they ended their engagement in 2012. He later had an on-again, off-again relationship with Lily Collins from 2012 to 2018. He has also been linked to Jess Moloney and began dating influencer Elena Taber in 2025.
