
Jen Arnold
Jennifer “Jen” Arnold is a neonatologist, medical educator and reality TV personality best known for starring on TLC’s The Little Couple alongside her husband, Bill Klein. Born with spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia, a rare form of dwarfism, Arnold spent much of her childhood undergoing medical treatment and surgeries. She earned undergraduate degrees in biology and psychology from the University of Miami before receiving her medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She later completed her pediatric residency at the University of Pittsburgh and its affiliated medical programs.
Arnold built a successful career in neonatal medicine and medical simulation, working at institutions including Texas Children’s Hospital and later Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. Her public profile grew in 2009 when she and Klein became the focus of TLC’s The Little Couple, which documented their marriage, careers and family life. The series ran for more than a decade and introduced viewers to the couple’s experiences navigating life with dwarfism.
In addition to her television work, Arnold is known for her contributions to neonatal care and medical education. She has held leadership roles at several major children’s hospitals and has been recognized as a nationally known expert in healthcare simulation. In 2013, she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, and she publicly shared her journey as she underwent chemotherapy treatment, which was successful. She also penned the New York Times bestseller Life Is Short (2015).
Arnold married Klein in 2008. The couple adopted two children: Will Klein (born in 2010) and Zoey Klein (born in 2011). Their adoptions, parenting journey and family milestones were featured prominently on The Little Couple.
