Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez is a singer, actress, dancer and businesswoman best known for her decades-long career in music, film and television. Born in the Bronx, New York, she began singing and dancing at age 5 and attended Preston High School. After briefly enrolling at Baruch College, she left the institution to pursue a full time career in entertainment.

She got her start as a dancer on In Living Color in 1991, before landing her breakout role as Selena Quintanilla in the 1997 biopic Selena, which earned her critical acclaim. She followed with major film roles in Out of Sight (1998), The Wedding Planner (2001), Maid in Manhattan (2002), Monster-in-Law (2005), Hustlers (2019) and Marry Me (2022).

In music, she debuted with the album On the 6 in 1999, featuring the hit “If You Had My Love.” Lopez has released multiple multi-platinum albums since, including J.Lo (2001), This Is Me… Then (2002) and Love? (2011), and chart-topping singles like “Jenny from the Block” and “On the Floor.” She has served as a judge on American Idol and headlined the Super Bowl LIV halftime show in 2020 with Shakira.

Jennifer married Ojani Noa in 1997, and the two divorced in 1998. She was later wed to Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003 and to Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014. She and Marc share twins Max and Emme (born in 2008). After high-profile relationships with Diddy, Ben Affleck and Alex Rodriguez, she rekindled her romance with Affleck in 2021. The two married in July 2022 and split in a highly publicized divorce in 2025.
