Jude Law
David Jude Heyworth Law was born in London in 1972.
A few minor television gigs in Britain led Law to his first film role: Oscar Wilde’s lover, Lord Alfred Douglas, in Wilde. Law’s performance of the gay character was well received and he moved to Los Angeles.
Early on, Law found a niche in Hollywood with appearances in Gattaca, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and the Road to Perdition. More prominent roles in The Talented Mr. Ripley and Cold Mountain earned him two Academy Award nominations.
Recent projects of note include Closer, The Aviator and The Holiday with Cameron Diaz.
While engaged to Alfie costar Sienna Miller, he carried on an affair with his nanny.
Law has three children with Sadie Frost, whom he married in 1997. They divorced in 2003.
