Katherine Eunice Schwarzenegger is the daughter of former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger and broadcast journalist Maria Shriver. She has three younger siblings: sister Christina (born 1991), and brothers Patrick (born 1993) and Christopher (born 1997).
Katherine published her first book, Rock What You’ve Got: Secrets to Loving Your Inner and Outer Beauty from Someone Who’s Been There and Back, two years before graduating from the University of Southern California in 2012. Unsure of her next steps, she wrote a so-called survival guide for recent college grads titled I Just Graduated … Now What?, which hit shelves in 2014. She has also penned a children’s book, Maverick and Me, and an inspirational essay collection, The Gift of Forgiveness: Inspiring Stories from Those Who Have Overcome the Unforgivable.
The animal lover began dating Chris Pratt in June 2018, one year after his split from ex-wife Anna Faris. The twosome announced their engagement in January 2019 and got married in Montecito, California, five months later. In August 2020, they welcomed their first child together, daughter Lyla Maria.
