Jason Oppenheim rose to stardom on Netflix’s Selling Sunset upon its 2019 premiere on the streaming platform. The reality TV show chronicled Oppenheim’s real estate brokerage — the Oppenheim Group — in Los Angeles, California, which he cofounded alongside his twin brother, Brett Oppenheim.
Before his reality TV tenure, Jason attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he studied political science and legal studies, graduating in 2000. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Berkeley’s law school before practicing law in Los Angeles for five years. Years later, he began selling luxury real estate properties throughout Hollywood. During season 4 of Selling Sunset, he announced that he and Brett expanded their agency with a second location in Newport Beach, California.
The Netflix personality previously romanced costar Mary Fitzgerald for several years before she went on to marry Romain Bonnet. The former couple has remained friendly, even sharing custody of their two dogs, Zelda and Niko. Jason later began dating fellow Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause in May 2021. They took their romance public two months later. The pair confirmed their split in December 2021.
